Today, the governors of Lagos State and Niger State, respectively, signed a Memorandum of Understanding about the Produce-For-Lagos program. The governor of Lagos State is Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

A long-term strategic alliance, the Produce-For-Lagos program will see Niger produce food products (such as rice, tubers, legumes, and grains) and Lagos State purchase them.

While residents of Lagos State may be guaranteed that food will be available and stable in price, farmers in Niger State will have a ready market for their produce.

Long-term, this project will establish a direct supply of farm products to the enormous Lagos Food logistics that are currently taking place at Ketu Ereyun, Epe.
