Bukayo Saka, an Arsenal and England phenomenon who is about to wrap up his tour to Nigeria, has stated that he was on the verge of playing for Nigeria before England.

Saka is currently on vacation in Lagos after the holiday season in England. He has been enjoying himself while giving support to many orphanages while also taking in the sights of Nigeria’s commercial metropolis.

The 21-year-old was questioned by a member of the organization’s staff at one of the orphanages he visited about his choice to select the English national team over the senior national team of Nigeria.

I’m going to tell you this. In 2019, I came very close to joining one of the youth teams. My father had wished for it, but things happen, and you have to live with your choices. Nothing will be able to change how strongly I feel Nigerian,’ he told OwnGoalNigeria.com.

Additionally, our insider said that before his vacation in Nigeria comes to an end, he is likely to meet with Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the country’s freshly sworn-in president, in Abuja.

The president’s visit is on their agenda, but I’m not sure if it will be possible. He has a sweet, shy appearance. We were shocked to see who was sitting next to us at the orphanage. The orphanage staff described him as “so humble and down to earth.”
