Lokoja, Kogi State – A 70-year-old man, identified as Malam Abu Yusuf, tragically lost his life after being struck by lightning in Angwa Abocho, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State. The incident occurred on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at around 5:40 pm, following a heavy downpour in the community.
Reports indicate that Malam Yusuf was outside when the lightning struck, and he died instantly. The community has been deeply saddened by the loss.
Malam Yusuf will be laid to rest on Friday morning in accordance with Islamic rites.
