Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, Presidential Candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), is in the lead with 270,000 votes in the 38 local government areas of Kano State that have been declared thus far at the state collation centre of the Independent National Election Commission (INEC).
Atiku Abubakar, the candidate for president of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has won in all eleven local government areas in Gombe State. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) reported that Atiku received 319,123 votes against Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who received 146,977 votes.
3. Peter Obi, Labour Party Presidential Candidate, is ahead of Atiku Abubakar, his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) opponent, by 45,297 votes in the results of seven Local Governments released thus far at the Plateau State collation headquarters of the Independent National Election Commission (INEC).
Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), won all 20 Local Government Areas in Ogun State on Saturday. Remo North, Ikenne, Egbado South, Ewekoro, Abeokuta North, Ijebu North, and Ijebu North-East are the Local Government areas.
5. Abba Umar, the son of Kano governor Abdullahi Ganduje, has lost the election for the House of Representatives. The governor’s son, who ran for Dawakin Tofa/Tofa/Rimingado Federal Constituency, lost to New Nigerian Peoples Party candidate Tijjani Abudlkadir Jobe (NNPP).
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced Mr. Thaddeus Attah of the Labour Party (LP) as the winner of the House of Representatives seat for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency. This information was disclosed on Sunday at the Collation Centre of the Lagos State Model Nursery and Primary School in Marwa, Lekki 1.
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has defeated Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC, in President Muhammadu Buhari’s home state of Katsina by garnering the highest number of votes in each of the state’s 34 local government areas.
Sen. Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, defeated Governor Ben Ayade to win the Senate seat. Senator Jarigbe received 76,145 votes to defeat governor Ben Ayade, who received 56,595 votes.
Mr. Gabriel Agabi Akwaji, a University Professor, was arrested for impersonating a Returning Officer in Yache Ward, Yala Local government, during the ongoing Presidential and National Assembly elections in Cross River State.
The Lagos State Police Command reports that 23 individuals accused of electoral violence and other offenses were arrested during Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections in Lagos. SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesman, confirmed the arrest to NAN on Sunday.
