Bloody Clash Over Alleged Affair Leaves Two Friends Dead in Delta State

Ogume, Delta State, Nigeria — A violent altercation over an alleged affair has resulted in the deaths of two friends in Ogume community, Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Delta State. The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, has been confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer of the State Command, Mr. Bright Edafe.

One of the deceased, identified as Igala, was reportedly stabbed to death by his friend Pedro. In a subsequent reprisal attack, Pedro was killed by a mob. Sources revealed that the deceased hailed from Ogbe-Ogume and Igbe Ogume quarters of the community.

“The two boys were friends and they were commercial motorcyclists (Okada riders),” a source stated. According to the source, Pedro had issues with his girlfriend, and Igala attempted to mediate the situation. However, Pedro suspected that Igala had started an affair with the girl, which escalated the conflict.

“In the process of trying to resolve the issues, Pedro suspected that Igala had started having an affair with the girl. This suspicion led to a confrontation where Pedro stabbed Igala to death,” the source, who requested anonymity, explained. Following Igala’s death, a mob retaliated and killed Pedro.

The tragic incident has left the community in shock and mourning, as residents come to terms with the violent loss of two young lives.
