by De_Eyes

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has issued a notice to residents of Abuja, urging them to prepare for a series of challenging decisions in the near future. However, he emphasizes the importance of patience, assuring the public that these tough choices are aimed at the overall betterment of the nation’s capital.

Wike made these remarks while meeting with former FCT Senator, Philip Aduda, representing the Peoples Democratic Party, and Zakari Dobi, who was the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the senatorial seat in the previous election.

The minister stressed, “I urge residents to be patient; we are going to take tough decisions. Residents should not see it as punitive but for the good of the FCT.” Additionally, he disclosed that President Bola Tinubu has directed the construction of a minimum of 5km of road in each area council.

Since assuming office, Wike has taken a proactive approach, ordering the demolition of numerous illegal structures across the FCT. He has also issued warnings regarding the possible revocation of undeveloped properties within a specified time frame.
